Here is a short desription of his work described through the words of Juan Guse: In Balassa's case, this effect succeeds because he sometimes consumed the photo prints in the nightmarish, sometimes in peaceful, but not to recognition. The old one remains present, it is ghostly in the room or it floats in the background. It has its place. Forms and courses remain sometimes, sometimes structurally present. In this sense, it is not a mere appropriation of an object, but its aesthetic expansion.
